Unit 1: The role of Non-Formal Education for the promotion of intercultural awareness 0/1
Teachers will gain new knowledge on non-formal education approaches and how they can be used in class to promote intercultural awareness and dialogue in their students. They will be provided with inputs for the development of activities and tools that can support them in their teaching and that can be used in addition to the traditional teaching methodologies.

Unit 2: Cultural shocks and how to deal with multicultural environments 0/1
Teachers will be provided with examples of “cultural shocks” that might arise during their work and how to deal with diversity within the class. This session will allow them to learn how to manage conflicts between teachers and among students.

Unit 3: Self-awareness on cultural diversity 0/1
This session will be aimed at challenging teachers’ beliefs and understanding. It will be a first crucial step in order to be able to transmit intercultural competences and learning to their students and the children they work with.

Unit 4: Foster mutual understanding and cultural sensitivity 0/1
Intercultural competence is the ability to know and accept opinions, values, perceptions, traditions and habits linked to the origins, religion and ethnicity of each person. In this fourth unit, teachers will be involved in activities aimed at fostering mutual understanding and cultural sensitivity.
